Pectinase is a class of enzymes which can break down pectin.

Pectinase mainly includes protopectinase, pectin methylesterase(PME) and polygalacturonase(PG) whichcan lipolyse,hydrolyze and degrade pectin respectively. Through breaking down the pectin, galacturonic acid, oligo-guluronic acid, unsaturated galacturonic acid,and oligo-galacturonic acid are acquired. Finally, the cell wall is destroyedand the nutrients are released.Function:Improve the digestibility of pectin materials in feedstuff.Ameliorate the environment of alimentary tract.
